Viewing a work by Nunzio Fisichella is like embarking on an ascent with no marked trails: amid splinters, overlays, and fleeting streaks of light, the viewer’s eye is drawn to decipher the memories and fragments of a man searching for a new, more stable center of gravity.

★ OPENING: JUNE 10, 7 PM This project room offers a significant glimpse into the artist’s work: visceral painting, where the medium becomes both flesh and landscape, leading the viewer to sense the bitterness of the fall, the intuition of pain, and, overwhelmingly, the scent of hope.

‣ Open to the public starting June 11 ___________________________

NUNZIO FISICHELLA

Nunzio Fisichella is an artist who blends the rigor of scientific study with a visceral exploration of materials. After twenty years devoted to engineering and the family business, a profound crisis marked a turning point in his life: his departure from the corporate routine led to a regenerative solitude, experienced against the backdrops of Nepal and during extreme treks on Mount Etna and Stromboli.

These wild spaces awaken in him an urgent need to give voice to the soul, combining technical precision with the power of color. His canvases, which over time expand to cover entire walls, become mirrors of a vibrant restlessness that transforms into matter. In his works, the deep darkness is never gloomy, for it is pierced by a light that radiates through the darkness, connecting the sky to the tactility of the sea.

Between the reds of dawn and total sunsets, Fisichella’s color palette burns with volcanic energy. Fragments of memory and suffering emerge through scratches, bursts, and textural overlays, seeking a definitive balance. The viewer is invited to follow the artist on an extreme journey, sensing in his brushstrokes the weight of pain and the scent of hope.

___________________________
