And yet it is precisely those details that hold the whole story: why is that?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Adele Chiobodo\u2014author, storyteller, and creative consultant\u2014proposes \u201cCosette\u201d as the topic of discussion for June\u2019s Silent Reading, inviting participants to look through the book they\u2019ve brought with them for an object, a gesture, or a passing phrase\u2014that detail that could have been omitted but was left in, and that in some way changed them. She has published novels, teaches writing courses and workshops, and collaborates with companies and cultural organizations to craft authentic narratives. Four twenty-somethings decided to get together in a Brooklyn apartment, with their phones turned off and surrounded by the many books they\u2019d accumulated but never managed to read due to a lack of time.<br \/>\nThe group read silently for an hour, then always set aside some time to share their thoughts.<br \/>\nThe first \u201cofficial\u201d reading took place on the rooftop of their Brooklyn apartment, where the young people had invited some of their friends.<br \/>\nThe project then drew in more and more people, expanded, and after just a couple of months had grown to include two hundred participants.<br \/>\nThe young people then decided to formalize the format, which is attracting more and more people of all ages in various parts of the world.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">________________________<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Reading glasses provided by<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanniocchiali.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong> VANNI<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An hour of reading followed by an hour of discussion among readers.
