This month’s Silent Reading features writer Natalia Ceravolo, who will discuss the themes of error and change with the participants.
“What is an error? Can we grow without it? We grow up fearing failure without realizing that without that fall and that small scar, our true skin would never have formed.”

Reading is like encountering something that is about to happen, but no one knows what it will be.

SILENT READING PARTIES
They started in New York about a year ago, quite by chance. Four twenty-somethings decided to get together in a Brooklyn apartment, with their phones turned off and surrounded by the many books they’d accumulated but never managed to read due to lack of time.
The group would read in silence for an hour, then always set aside some time to share their thoughts.
The first “official” reading took place on the roof of their Brooklyn apartment, where the young people had invited some of their friends.
The project then drew in more and more people, expanded, and within just a couple of months had grown to include two hundred participants.
The young people then decided to formalize the format, which is attracting more and more people of all ages in various parts of the world.
